It is No Surprise Standardized Test Cheating by School Faculty
is on the rise. After all, with more and more pressure being put on school districts to “measure up” on idiotic standards implemented by people who have no clue of what teaching and education are about, it is no wonder teachers feel the need to cheat and risk their careers.
The only reason teachers engage in this unethical behavior is because their administrators are pressuring them to do it. Never underestimate the power principals have to make or break teachers’ careers. Run afoul of one these sociopaths who are far too numerous in education, and you risk not only being written up on petty allegations, but retaliated against and ultimate fired and blackballed from the profession. Teachers NEVER win against administrators–trust me as someone who knows how the game is played. Cheating not only happens in standardized tests, but there are principals who pressure special ed teachers to cheat in a variety of ways. In my case, a sociopath of a principal tried to get me to cheat by wanting me to put all my students on alternate testing, regardless of whether they qualified, so as to not pull down schoolwide test scores. I refused and he retaliated. I left that school but ultimately was thrown out on bogus charges. By the way, teachers are also pressured to change grades; if they don’t do so, they invariably are retaliated against. Their so-called unions don’t defend them as much as people think.
